A single line should be enough to illustrate the entire idea

Our designs have strong identities that make them instantly recognisable and memorable. Still, they are respectful to their surroundings, as we believe that no single object should ever dominate an entire room let alone its inhabitants. Instead it should only grab your attention when you need it and interact with you in the most intuitive way possible.

An uneven connection. Or a strange gap on an object’s surface. These are the kind of common compromises that often occur once a design is passed on to production. They are also the kind of compromises that our studio will never allow. Because if we notice them, so will the consumer.

When we design a product, every line or detail serves a purpose, either aesthetically or functionally. As industrial designers our role is to integrate form and function as well as production on equal terms. Each of these elements influences the other and sometimes they will even dictate. Our job then is to design solutions that form a consensus instead of a compromise. And we are not finished until the physical product is.

By focusing on the basic idea behind the object we try to uncover that which is already there. We gradually remove the excess to reveal what is truly genuine making it impervious to shifting fashion trends. Because only when form is based on a product’s unique character and logic will it meet the preconditions of becoming a classic.
